Exciting team news from FE News:
So it has been a big week here at FE News. Alex has joined us as our Junior Digital Project Manager... thanks to everyone who gave him a warm welcome on LinkedIn. You made him feel very welcome.
We have signed up to move the FE News HQ... we have been at Emperor Way, since the end of the pandemic. We've loved our time there, but everything has a season. So from 1st Nov... we are moving to the Exeter Science Park. So excited about this. I can get my geek on... The Science Park is like a cool Telly Tubby land for nerds. I love it there. We scoped out a Tech Meet Exeter there to see what the people were like, won a quiz (I never win quizzes), then was promptly disqualified... instant Kool Kid status.. had to move there then!
Also... So Alex has had his official FE News #FEMugShot... bit like when we see football star transfers... it's official when you see them in the shirt or holding the shirt. Well at FE News it's all official when we get a #FEMugshot. In football circles... Fabrizio Romano is like the guy in the know on upcoming football transfers... Here we goooo... means it is happening.. .and wow, I have the most exciting super star signing joining the FE News team on Monday. Debbie Hughes has done a Romano on LinkedIn... yep, Debbie is joining the team as our Operations and Events Manager. Watch out for the official FE News Mugshot next week! I've known Debbie for maybe 15 years, she is awesome... everyone who meets her or deals with her, seems to shine or feel better. So you'll be getting a bit of that experience yourselves soon!
Livestreams next week - 3 years of the BLG!
So we have 20 Voices... every day a short video from key stakeholders, influencers and thought leaders... like Skills Minister Rob Halfon this week! .. but for one day only.. we are splitting this up... with an important one for me... on Tuesday, live at 10am, Live... 3 years of the Black Leadership Group.
FE Collective - extension on the ticket sales... phew!
Our first ever event in 20 years ... is the FE Collective... a flipped conference, everyone working together on a collaborative report... we are looking at AI, Investing in the sector of the future and Progression, is there a better way. You get to hear from global experts.. one session we have two Professors, a doctor, the head of the think tank for the G20, an Investment banker who runs one of the biggest EdTech funds in the World... and erm, me... not only do you get to hear from these experts... you get to work with them on the report. How cool is that!?
I've begged and pleaded... and the venue have given us a few more days to book in people for the FE Collective
