FE News catches up with J. Noah Brown, CEO of the US Association of Community College Trustees, during the AoC national Conference in the UK.

He compares the US and UK Further Education systems, describing the latter as being more national and federalised. According to Mr Brown, the two systems appear to be going in oppoosite directions, with the US slowly becoming more nationalised as the UK looks to be more localised in its approach.

He also talks about the US approach to STEM and student engagement.
