How many female students are studying STEM subjects?
- According to recent HESA data, 31% of core STEM students in Higher Education in the UK are women or non-binary
- In 22/23 the number of female students was 123,180 – 31%
- For the 22/23 academic year, 44% of students enrolling into physical sciences were female or non-binary, this was the STEM subject with the highest percentage of females or non binary people.
