Why is it important?
Each year, the annual celebrations recognise and reward the work and efforts of volunteers who are active at the heart of every community. Whilst also acknowledging their important contribution to local communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole.
It is important to focus on the end game – the impact that it brings not only to individuals but also to their communities and to society as a whole.
It is hugely enriching; for those involved, their employers and the organisations and people they volunteer with.
