Training Providers are organisations that provide vocational education and training to young people and adults. A training provider will supply the training element of an apprenticeship or course. It is also their job to support learners and employers with the EPA process, helping the learner achieve a qualification at the end.
ITPs are training providers that are not run by the government. However, ITPs are still regulated by government agencies such as the Education and Skills Funding Agency and Ofsted in the same way as the rest of the FE sector. These can be privately owned, run by a third sector organisation, CIC or charity.
APAR is a list of training provider organisations, including; independent training providers, colleges, universities and employer providers, who are approved to deliver apprenticeship training, funded by the government.
The Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) is a national membership body, proudly representing its many member organisations (around 800) that deliver training and vocational learning.
