The Global Lifelong Learning Summit (GLLS) brings together global experts, policymakers, and industry leaders biennially. This event explores how lifelong learning drives inclusive economic growth and social development.
The Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) jointly organise this summit. As a result, it fosters collaborations and facilitates the exchange of best practices in lifelong learning worldwide.

Consequently, the GLLS significantly influences global policies and strategies for lifelong learning. Moreover, it contributes to developing adaptable, skilled workforces across various economies.
The First GLLS was held on the 1st and 2nd November in Singapore and was entitled “Maximising the Socio-Economic Impact of Lifelong Learning”, this inaugural GLLS is held over two days, on 1 and 2 November 2022. The main themes and outcomes that we found was exploring Micro-credentials use to encourage lifelong learning.
The second GLLS (GLLS2024) is on the 1st and 2nd October 2024 and is titled Human Flourishing in an age of AI. Lifelong learning perspectives. FE News are attending GLLS again and have set up a dedicated tag page for all of the content, we are filming vox pops interviews with influencers and speakers from the conference. The main theme of this conference is AI and Lifelong Learning.
