Future of Apprenticeships

As the world of work continues to evolve, apprenticeships are becoming an increasingly popular and attractive option for both individuals and employers alike.

Apprenticeships offer a unique opportunity for individuals to learn on the job, gain practical skills, and earn a wage while working towards a recognised qualification.

At the same time, employers benefit from the opportunity to train and develop their workforce in a way that is tailored to their specific needs and requirements.

In October 2022, we kicked off season 3 of our co-produced Livestreams with NCFE. This season was all about the #FutureOfApprenticeships!

We covered a range of topics including:

• Are apprenticeships still working for 16-19 year olds?
• Unlocking SME’s and helping them to thrive
• Supporting apprentices through the cost of living crisis and beyond
• Supporting learners with SEND
• EPA
• Collaboration and looking to the future

Produced, presented and promoted by apprenticeships. John-Joe Tams even got the chance to interview Toby Perkins, Shadow Minister for Skills and Further Education.

In episode 1, our CEO, Gavin O’Meara, had a chat with co-host Suzanne Slater: Director of Operations for Apprenticeships at NCFE, and guest speakers Lucy Hunte: National Programme Manager for Apprenticeships, NHS, and John-Joe Tams: Accreditation Apprentice at NCFE, to explore an important question – are apprenticeships still working for 16-19 year olds?
