What is happening with the Labour Market? FE Weekly Soundbite Edition 682
Welcome to FE Soundbite Edition 682! This is the weekly e-newsletter and e-journal brought to you by FE News: ISSN 2732-4095. We know life is…
As the world of work continues to evolve, apprenticeships are becoming an increasingly popular and attractive option for both individuals and employers alike.
Apprenticeships offer a unique opportunity for individuals to learn on the job, gain practical skills, and earn a wage while working towards a recognised qualification.
At the same time, employers benefit from the opportunity to train and develop their workforce in a way that is tailored to their specific needs and requirements.
At FE News, we often explore the latest trends and developments in the world of apprenticeships, including changes to government policy and funding, emerging apprenticeship standards and frameworks, and innovative approaches to apprenticeship training and delivery.
We also feature insights and perspectives from leading experts in the field, including employers, training providers, and apprentices themselves, to provide a comprehensive overview of the current landscape and future direction of apprenticeships.
In October 2022, we kicked off season 3 of our co-produced Livestreams with NCFE. This season was all about the #FutureOfApprenticeships!
We covered a range of topics including:
Including a special episode #FutureOfApprenticeships: The Apprentice Takeover! Where we let apprentices takeover during National Apprenticeship week.
Produced, presented and promoted by apprenticeships. John-Joe Tams even got the chance to interview Toby Perkins, Shadow Minister for Skills and Further Education.
In episode 1, our CEO, Gavin O’Meara, had a chat with co-host Suzanne Slater: Director of Operations for Apprenticeships at NCFE, and guest speakers Lucy Hunte: National Programme Manager for Apprenticeships, NHS, and John-Joe Tams: Accreditation Apprentice at NCFE, to explore an important question – are apprenticeships still working for 16-19 year olds?
