Zurich and Southern Co-op lead the way in understanding and addressing the challenges faced by disadvantaged and diverse apprentices.
Amazing Apprenticeships have announced the latest two names to join their groundbreaking social mobility and inclusion course, The Genie Programme.
The programme promises a rich mix of activities and experiences with networking opportunities and access to key speakers and mentors. Participants will learn about the issues impacting social mobility and develop a tailored approach to implement within their organisation to influence how they attract, develop, retain and positively support diverse and disadvantaged groups.
“After a challenging year that has hit disadvantaged young people hardest, I’m really excited to be taking part in The Genie Programme on behalf of Zurich,” said Jude Pilcher, People Development Consultant, Zurich “ As the first insurance company to join the programme, we’ll be leading the way for the sector around the social mobility agenda.”
Pilcher is joined by Linda Masterman, Diversity & Inclusion Manager at Southern Co-op as well as representatives from Coca Cola, AstraZeneca, Premier Foods, The Open University, The Solent Apprenticeship Hub, B&Q and the NHS.
“We can’t wait to learn alongside other leading organisations, and ultimately to improve access to opportunity for the people who need it most.” added Pilcher.
The final spots on the first Cohort are now in high demand ahead of the start of the course in May with interested companies pushing their case forward to join the line-up.
