West London students join Top Chefs at the London Chefs’ Lunch
West London College opened up its teaching kitchens and TASTE Restaurant to some of the best chefs in the industry to host a fundraising lunch for The Chefs’ Forum Educational Foundation CIC.
West London College Hospitality & Catering students served a delicious four-course meal for 70 guests whilst being coached by four of London’s most highly-skilled chefs; Tom Booton on the starter, Galton Blackiston on the fish course, Dipna Anand on the main course and Jesse Dunford Wood on the dessert.
Tom Booton said: “I was very impressed with the students and have really enjoyed my time here at West London College, I would happily welcome the students into my kitchen based on their performance today.”
Hosting The London Chefs’ Lunch underlined the College’s commitment to inspiring young chefs and enriching the students’ learner journey through work experience and skills development opportunities at industry level.
Denise Charles, Head of Curriculum in Services Industries, said: “Today has been an inspiring experience for our students, they love to work with different chefs and learning new cooking techniques.
“Working at this event gave our learners the opportunity to put their professionalism, knowledge and skills to test in an industry standard event.”
