West London’s College launches Evolve Learning Group
Ealing, Hammersmith & West London’s College has launched Evolve Learning Group to help employers with their apprenticeship and training programs, and to harness the partnership between WLC and Reed NCFE to continue to provide excellent, relevant employment opportunities for learners.
As we all know by now, the Government wants three million new apprenticeships by 2020 and has introduced the Apprenticeship Levy to further encourage businesses to take them on. There is still a lot of well-publicised confusion around the levy and what it will actually mean for businesses, particularly how the 20% off the job training time will work and what roles will best suit the apprenticeship model.
That confusion might lead some organisations to pay the levy and move on, but in reality the levy should be viewed as a ring fenced training and recruitment budget that can easily be maximised with the right advice, not a throwaway tax for businesses to get no return on.
Evolve Learning Group will help businesses through the process of hiring and training an apprentice, whether it’s a new hire for the business or the upskilling of an existing employee. Evolve also offer a free consultation for organisations who need guidance or just want to get their head around what it all means for them – contact 020 8741 1688 or [email protected]
There is also plenty of apprenticeship and levy information on Evolve’s new website.
