VTCT announces partnership with MHD to give learners the edge
Specialist awarding organisation VTCT has launched an enhanced version of the Pivot Point online education platform, which now incorporates the resources of MHD. The partnership with MHD is intended to enrich the overall learner experience, and forms part of VTCT’s longstanding commitment to improving the standard of training and professionalism within the industry.
VTCT’s existing partnership with Pivot Point provides centres and learners with access to an online hub of content designed to aid the learning process. The addition of the MHD learning materials is set to provide more extensive resources. As the largest individual hairdressing & barbering training resource in the world, it includes over 400 training videos, as well as in-depth how-to tutorials and worksheets.
The Pivot Point platform is designed to supplement the hands-on experience learners undertake whilst working towards a qualification, and covers levels 1, 2 and 3 hairdressing and barbering skills and knowledge.
Marcus Bull, CCO at VTCT, said: “Research we conducted earlier this year showed that the vast majority of learners prefer to take a blended learning approach to their studies; meaning a mixture of print and digital resources. For this reason, we are striving to ensure our online resources are as user-friendly and as comprehensive as they can be. As a popular and trusted source of industry education, the MHD learning materials will be a welcome addition to our current Pivot Point platform.”
The newly enhanced Pivot Point platform, together with VTCT’s other online learning tools, form “edge”, a new suite of resources available to training providers. Edge is intended to provide centres and learners with added value, making the learning process more accessible and enjoyable, and serving to reinforce practical training.
