Virtual open day platform launches; offering relief for weary admissions teams
A new virtual platform for school admissions teams to present their facilities to prospective students and staff members has launched onto the market. (@WillC_Education)
Virtual School Experience (VSE), created by leading UK education consultancy William Clarence Education, offers an entirely customisable experience allowing schools to create tailored experiences. With traditional open days and school exhibitions not possible, schools have relied on videos and Zoom calls which do not portray the real feeling of a school.
Websites offer a static view but leave parents feeling alone, Zoom calls can offer more interaction and a presentation but are infrequent and inconvenient for international families.
With VSE, schools can create an interactive platform available 24/7 on-demand for parents to access and learn more about the facilities and courses on offer. Working from the beginning each school can replicate their own branding, offering a seamless transition from in-house to out-house.
Rather than creating one generic landing page, VSE allows users to create ‘skins’. Each skin can be altered to focus on one particular aspect of the school. For example, one skin may contain more information on the sporting facilities for families looking to send their children to an active environment, meanwhile another could focus on art for the artistic inclined. Multiple unique experiences can be used to tailor the school experience to the parent.
No matter the school, VSE has a solution to meet their needs. Founder Stephen Spriggs said, “We feel this is the next generation of education marketing tools for schools, both across the UK and internationally. Our software dovetails perfectly with existing content and websites to deliver an immersive and real experience of a school tailored to the parent – every time!”
This platform is not just for students, it can also be used for recruiting staff members too. Haileybury School – Astana is currently recruiting multiple positions using VSE as their interface for candidates.
Ian Hunt, Chairman at Haileybury Almaty said,
“Virtual School Experience is the most innovative product we have seen in years and has made our recruitment process this season infinitely more effective. The feedback from candidates has been amazing”
The VSE experience not only helps parents gain a more detailed, streamlined view of the schools on offer it also helps agent networks and offers vital analytical data for admissions teams to see what is and is not working in their pipeline.
