Training Company Celebrated 10 Profound Years

A North East training provider has held a celebratory afternoon lunch to mark 10 profound years in business.

Profound Services, whose headquarters is situated in Peterlee, County Durham, reached the milestone in October following the company’s most successful year to date.

Employees of Profound Services, previous learners who’ve gained qualifications and businesses who’ve hired an apprentice through the company, took time out to celebrate the anniversary and reflect on the past 10 years.

An inspirational speech from Chair of Profound Services Steven Ward followed by success stories and networking meant there was a warm atmosphere to mark the anniversary.

During his speech, Steven Ward spoke about how the company was established in his bedroom over a decade ago and the adversity the company had to go through to get it where it is today. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, winning national contracts, expanding rapidly and now employs over 100 staff across its 3 offices.

The company, which started as a recruitment agency for taxi operators in 2006, is now one of the leading apprenticeship and traineeships training providers in the North East, delivering over 20 types of apprenticeships.

Chair of Profound Group, Steven Ward, commented on the milestone and said: “Key to the success of our company is the people we work with. It was therefore important to commemorate this key milestone in the company’s history and thank our learners, employers and staff for their role in its success.”

Amongst attendees was Managing Director of Tom Garside Independent Mortgage Services who hired an apprentice through Profound Services two years ago. Commenting on his relationship with the company, Garside said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to Profound Services for their provision over the past two years.

“Since Kali came on board the business has gone from strength to strength. It’s quadrupled in size in terms of customer base and turnover.”

Profound Services is now looking forward to the next 10 years as it embarks on its mission to provide outstanding learning and skills, serving the needs of learners, employers and the community.
