The Green Product Award and the “Future Village”

Berlin, 19th of September 2019 – Call for submission for the Green Product Award 2020

Sustainable consumption needs to be the future for us and the next generations. The importance of innovative, environmentally friendly products, concepts and services has been highlighted by the Green Product Award for 6 years. As part of the award, designers and manufacturers can present their ideas to 130,000 trade fair visitors and about 1.5 million online users on our online channels each year and network with each other.

Green products and concepts can be submitted to the International Green Product Award. This year we are looking for co-creators of the “Future Village”, where sustainable living and working from the exterior wall to the interior should be experienced. Green pavilions form the centre and is the highlight for festivals & fairs in 2020.

The second submission phase – Cool Bird – began on 2^nd of September 2019 and offers special price advantages and lasts until 15^th of November 2019. We also want to support students and their ideas, wherefore we have the Green Concept Award. The submission is completely free until the 1^st of October. When the idea is evaluated into the Green Selection and package will offer many benefits, including the integration on fairs, the annual Green Product Book, etc..

At the IHM 2020, the Green Selection and the winners of all 13 categories (architecture, bathroom, electronics, fashion, children, consumer goods, kitchen, material, mobility, outdoor, office, living, freestyle) will be presented on an area of 350 square meters. This is located on the Green Campus – a special area of 2500 square meters in Hall B2. For the first time, visitors can immerse themselves in completely green scenarios and find out about the special features of the exhibits.

In addition, a long-term project for the exhibition of green innovations is being created. A mountain next to a lake, not far from the centre of Berlin should have sustainability as the basic theme of the design. Microhomes, TinyHouses, Interior, and much more. are designed into a permanent “Future Village”. Take part in the Green Product and Concept Award get the chance to become part of the future.
