TASTE Restaurant wins Highly Commended Award at Hammersmith and Fulham Brilliant Business Awards 2018
West London College’s TASTE Restaurant participated in the Hammersmith and Fulham Brilliant Business Awards 2018 where the restaurant was successfully shortlisted from a large number of entries.
This year’s winners were announced at a gala presentation on Wednesday, 7 November 2018 at Hammersmith Town Hall where Head of Curriculum, Denise Charles, accompanied by Hospitality & Catering Course Leader, Sylvain Auger and Chef Jeffrey Gonzales received the Highly Commended Award for the Best Social Enterprise, in the Borough.

The Hammersmith and Fulham Brilliant Business Awards shines a light on the borough’s best businesses to celebrate local entrepreneurs. The awards sponsored by local organisations including West London College, Capital West and Westfield Shopping Centre amongst others, are open to all commercial and social enterprises within the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
TASTE Restaurant is open to the public during term-time, Wednesday to Friday. All dishes are freshly prepared by our highly skilled hospitality and catering students. The high-quality facilities have been tried and tested by Top Chefs including Mark Hix, Jamie Oliver, Atul Kochar and Gordon Ramsay.
The Restaurant also serves as a venue for recognised Hospitality & Catering industry’s competitions and events such as the BCA Chef of the Year Competition, The Chefs’ Forum, and Hammersmith & Fulham Young Chef of the Year.
West London College is a large Further Education college with five sites: Hammersmith and Fulham College, Ealing Green College, Southall Community College, Park Royal College and West London Construction Academy.
Rated Good by Ofsted it is the Top Performing College in London having achieved the first position in the National Achievement Rate Tables for both Overall Achievement Rate and Adult Achievement Rate in London.
Offers both full-time and part-time courses for 16-18s and adults in a wide range of subjects, students can choose vocational, professional and academic qualifications. It also provides flexible and responsive training programmes for employers and high-quality apprenticeships via its employer training arm, the Evolve Learning Group.
