Tameside College are honoured with CIPHE accreditation

Tameside College is the first college in the North West to receive the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) accreditation award for outstanding plumbing and heating training and facilities.

The CIPHE is the only body that offers individual recognition for plumbing and heating qualifications and supports professional members with the best technical expertise in the industry, nationally.

The presentation was made at Tameside College by Paul Williams, CIPHE President, who said: “As the only professional body for the UK plumbing and heating industry, CIPHE places great importance on quality training, and wishes those providing such services to be recognised. I am very impressed with the facilities here at Tameside College. It’s obvious from the investment that Tameside College has made in its plumbing and heating classroom facilities, equipment and industry experienced teachers that they take pride in giving their students the best start in the industry. We don’t give out accreditations easily and this award is very well deserved by Tameside College.”

Jackie Moores, Principal of Tameside College, said: “It is a real honour to be the first college in the North West to be officially accredited as a CIPHE approved training centre. We take a lot of pride in developing our course offering, working with industry experienced staff and ensuring we provide the latest technology to ensure that our courses are best suited for students. The construction industry has currently got a huge demand for skilled professionals in various trades, especially in plumbing and this accreditation sets us apart as a training provider as it shows we are committed to providing the best plumbers for the industry’s needs. We look forward to welcoming more students through our doors in September as a CIPHE accredited training centre.”
