Silverstone debut for Staffordshire pupils
Pupils deliver an adrenaline-fuelled performance
Excited pupils from a creative Staffordshire high school took centre stage at one of the world’s most renowned adrenaline-fuelled attractions.
Sixty performing arts students from The Hart School, Rugeley, gave one of the biggest performances of their lives at the historic Silverstone Racing Circuit – where the likes of F1 racing legends like Lewis Hamilton have graced the tracks.
After intensive choregraphed rehearsals the dedicated pupils, from Year 7 to 13, danced their hearts out as part of a Pro-XL large mass dance movement earlier this summer during an exciting qualifying day for Formula 1 at the internationally celebrated spot.
Rugeley school’s extra-curricular offer praised
The event is just one of many extra-curricular activities offered by The Hart School, part of Creative Education Trust, and one of the areas that the school has won high praise for from Ofsted.
Principal Chris Keen said: “We’re very proud to nurture both the academic and creative talents of all our pupils to help them to achieve their desired career path.
“We have some big performances at The Hart School and it’s great to let our amazing, talented kids go under the spotlight on some of the world’s biggest stages.
“Performing arts is a popular subject at The Hart School and as such we’re continually expanding our offer, including most recently by adding Level 3 Dance to the available subjects for pupils choosing to further their studies in our ever-growing Sixth Form.”
Dance takes centre stage on international platform
Just one of many other high-profile locations where The Hart School pupils have performed in recent years include at Disney World, Florida, in 2018.
Pupils performed at Silverstone as part of a 1,500-strong dance movement with Pro-XL.
