“I am delighted that our partnership has been shortlisted for the Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Awards. The Level 2 Pharmacy Apprenticeship has been a great success during a very difficult and busy time for the pharmaceutical industry. The willingness of McKay Pharmacy to collaborate with SERC to give students first-hand experience on the front-line and support them through their apprenticeship has been tremendous. I am proud of the work that has been achieved throughout this past year in what promises to be an ongoing successful partnership.
She added, “SERC and McKay’s Pharmacy collaborated to design a training programme to identify the best mix of learning outcomes for apprentices. The partnership and training programme ensures that students in SERC’s catchment areas have great opportunities for employment in the sector, and employers are offered a mode of training and learning that is tailored to their industry.”
The Level 2 in Pharmacy Apprenticeship launched at SERC in September 2020 and has since seen great success. McKay’s currently have three Level 2 Pharmacy Apprentices all of whom are making great progress to achieve their Apprenticeships. For more information on the apprenticeship, click here.
