Seetec partnership supports rugby talent at Rochford Hundred
Ambitious Rochford Hundred Rugby Club will be targeting further success in the new season with continuing sponsorship from employment and skills specialist Seetec.
Seetec has become the club’s main sponsor for the upcoming season as well as continuing to support the club’s academy team, which develops talented young rugby players to become future first team stars.
Rochford Hundred won the Essex Senior Cup and celebrated an unbeaten 2018-19 season after only being promoted to London 1 (North) in 2018. They will now compete in the London and South Premier League having two seasons unbeaten at first team level.
Several Academy players graduated to the 1st XV last season and the club hope more will follow this season as they try and get promotion again to National Leagues.
The club, established more than 50 years ago, now has more than 650 members. It runs senior and junior teams for men, women, boys and girls, as well as mini rugby sessions for two to 18-year-olds.
Club Chairman Peter van den Broeck (pictured right) said:
“Seetec’s continued support is helping us to achieve our goal of becoming a major player in Essex rugby. Seetec’s backing for our Academy is a great fit as they encourage young talent outside of rugby and can support our Academy players who are trying to get into work or furthering their education. In addition to sponsoring the Academy Seetec are now our main Club sponsors and we are very pleased to have the backing of such a progressive organisation as we both strive to achieve better things.”
David Reynolds, Non-Executive director of Seetec (pictured holding club shirt), said:
“Seetec has been encouraging and developing young talent in Essex and across the country for 35 years and we hope our sponsorship of the Academy will help them to thrive and succeed in senior rugby and to now also be the main sponsor of the 1st XV at Rochford, a team who have not lost a League game for two seasons, means Seetec will help drive the club forward in its ambition to play National League rugby at Rochford.”
Seetec Group is one of the UK’s leading skills, employment and training providers and helps support individuals and businesses to grow their talent.
