Public Services students get a glimpse of life in the British Army
Young West London students got a taste of army life by participating in an Army Elite Skills Academy.
Corporal Danny England led a session of interactive Elite Skills Academy activities, bringing work in the military to life with the Public Services students taking part in an interactive educational morning designed to develop their mental and physical attributes.
Working in teams, students completed a wide range of tasks testing their leadership and negotiation skills and their ability to learn, adapt and communicate.
Isadora Ramos, West London College Public Services student, said: “I enjoyed the team building activities and was very pleased with the opportunity to learn about life in the army from female Officers, these type of activities help us get a clearer picture of career prospects in Public Services.”
The British Army careers presentation also provided an overview of career opportunities in the armed forces to raise awareness of the industry.
Darren Morgan, West London College Public Services Course Leader, said: “The event had a great turn out with students participating and engaging in the practical session. It was great to see all our Public Services students taking initiative and working together to solve the activities and overcoming challenges.”
