Progress to Excellence Ltd gets top accolade for adult social care learning

Top level recognition for the delivery of learning and development in the adult social care sector has once again been given to Progress to Excellence Ltd.

The company has been named as a Centre of Excellence and as an endorsed training provider by Skills for Care, the strategic body that works with the Department of Health and Social Care for the development of people working in adult social care.

This prestigious badge of quality for learning and development continues to place Progress to Excellence Ltd among an elite group of organisations in England, which have been proven to give high quality training to the health and social care sector.

Damian Burdin, Chief Executive at Progress to Excellence Ltd, said: “Receiving this endorsement again and being named as a Centre of Excellence is a great honour for us and proves to employers how we consistently provide high quality training for people working throughout the adult care sector.

“It shows that this training has a huge impact on the professional development of our learners and subsequently on the lives of people who receive support services.

“With Skills for Care being synonymous with quality in the adult care sector, the endorsement not only gives us increased confidence of the value of our work but also gives our clients and learners confidence in our services.”

The Skills for Care endorsement framework was created following the independent Cavendish Review in response to a demand from employers looking for a quality mark that promoted excellence in social care. The review also included a request from employers to have a site where they could easily find high quality training providers, taking away the uncertainty and need to trawl through a minefield of existing providers.

Sharon Allen, Chief Executive at Skills for Care, said: “The aim of the framework is to highlight and celebrate high quality training provision which underpins the core skills and values of outstanding adult social care work, our quality mark for learning and development providers ultimately having a direct impact on those who use care and support services.”
