MOS Four Nations Championship 2018
Microsoft and Prodigy Learning have formally launched the MOS Four Nations Championship 2018 for students across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales to prove their mastery of Microsoft Office and compete for prizes including a trip to the MOS World Championship Final at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, in Orlando, Florida in July 2018.
Building on the success of the MOS Four Nations Championship 2017, the Championship offers an opportunity for students in Schools, Colleges and Universities across the UK and Ireland to prove their digital skills and battle for fantastic prizes! To participate, eligible students must take, and pass, a MOS exam in Excel, PowerPoint or Word (2013 or 2016 version) by May 4, 2018. The top students from each Nation will be invited to battle it out in National Finals Week (May 2018) to determine who represents their Nation at the MOS Four Nations Championship Final in London in July 2018.
Hogwarts Express: To maximise their chances of reaching the MOS Four Nations Championship Final, students should take an eligible MOS exam by December 22, 2017. At that stage the top Excel, PowerPoint and Word students from each Nation will receive their Hogwarts Express ticket … straight to the MOS Four Nations Championship Final.
National Finalists will come together for the MOS Four Nations Championships finals 2018 (AKA the Battle of Hogwarts). Here National Finalists will sit a MOS exam in their qualifying category and, based on the results, the Excel, PowerPoint and Word MOS Four Nations Champions will be crowned. These students will win the trip of a lifetime to represent the UK and Ireland at the MOS World Championship Final in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Orlando, Florida in July 2018.
Launching the Championship, Sarah Hedley (UK National Skills Lead, Microsoft UK) said:
“Microsoft UK is committed to promoting the importance of digital skills within the education sector, ensuring students are equipped with the skills needed for their future careers in a continuously transforming digital world. The MOS Four Nations Championship is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their Office skills in a fun environment, with a chance to win some amazing prizes.”

“With the current digital transformation, digital skills, in particular Microsoft Office skills, are a vital part to educating students for the future. The MOS Four Nations Championship provides a unique opportunity for students in schools, colleges and universities across the UK and Ireland to challenge themselves by putting their digital skills to the test. We are looking forward to seeing who will be crowned 2018 MOS Champions and to discovering which Nation’s digital skills are above the rest!”
