Maped Helix gets arty with Stourbridge College collaboration
Maped Helix has teamed up with Stourbridge College to create an eye-catching masterpiece which will be on display at its Kingswinford headquarters.
The worldwide stationery giant is calling on art students, aged from 16-19, to let their imaginations run wild and design a colourful piece of street art that will feature on the wall outside ‘Apple Green’, Maped Helix’s meeting and lunch room. The creator of the winning design will also win £50 worth of stationery and colouring products.
The project is classed as work experience benefiting the students’ CVs and they will present their briefs to Maped Helix in March.
Gray Richmond, UK Managing Director at Maped Helix, said: “We’re very excited to see all the entries and the whole team here is looking forward to seeing the winning piece displayed at our office. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Stourbridge College for this exciting partnership and good luck to all the students!”
Simon Muttitt, Department Manager at Stourbridge College, said: “Maped Helix’s stationery range reflects different identities and personalities which the students are aiming to capture in their designs. Around 25 of them are responding to the brief so there’ll be plenty of concepts to look through and everyone’s looking forward to getting started on their ideas.”
