Manchester Metropolitan University (@ManMetUni) has been rated as the UK’s leading higher education provider for degree apprenticeships for the third year in a row.

The University was named sixth in a list of the top 50 training providers at the RateMyApprenciceship Awards, which places it as the highest university in this year’s list.

The award celebrates training providers who have gone above and beyond in their delivery of apprenticeship qualifications and is voted for by the students themselves, based solely on the reviews of apprenticeships on the RateMyApprenticeship website.

Liz Gorb, Director of Apprenticeships at Manchester Met, said:

“We are delighted to be rated so highly for our degree apprenticeship provision by the apprentices themselves – it is fantastic recognition of the quality of our programmes and experience of our learners.

“The fact that we have been rated the top university provider for the third year running is evidence of everyone’s hard work and dedication and I am so proud of everyone involved.

“Degree apprenticeships make an incredible impact on people’s lives and careers. Our programmes offer a great combination of high-quality academic learning and on-the-job training and deliver exceptional results both at university and impact within the workplace. We will continue working with our employer partners to upskill employees and address the skills gaps in a range of industries.”

More than 25 of Manchester Met’s partner employers were also shortlisted in the top 100 employers at the awards – an increase of 5 per cent from 2020.

Manchester Met has been a leading provider of Degree Apprenticeships since 2015, with more 2,000 degree apprentices joining the University during this time from more than 400 employer partners, with an employer satisfaction rate of 90 per cent.

This year, in spite of the pandemic, the University exceeded its target and recruited 805 apprentices.
