London South Bank University (LSBU) is celebrating good news today (22 June), as the University has achieved a Silver rating for teaching excellence under the Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
The University was particular praised for its focus on personalised learning and emphasis on supporting graduates into employment.
Professor David Phoenix, LSBU’s Vice Chancellor said:
“This award demonstrates the significant progress LSBU has made over the last few years in the improving experience we provide for our students.”
“LSBU is now in the Guardian’s top 100 universities, has entered two international university league tables for the first time ever and has also been named Entrepreneurial University of the Year. This award recognises the improvements we have delivered for our students and I am particular pleased that the awarding panel have recognised that LSBU delivers excellent student outcomes, personalised learning and courses designed to give our students the skills, knowledge and confidence that employers want.”
LSBU’s silver award remains valid for up to three years from today but will be subject to continuous annual re-assessment by an independent panel of experts.
