Lib Dems back campaign to #SupportStudyAbroad opportunities

The Liberal Democrats are backing Universities UK #SupportStudyAbroad campaign which calls for the Government to commit to funding study abroad opportunities for UK students in Brexit negotiations.
 
Liberal Democrat Education Spokesperson Layla Moran said: 
 
“Thousands of students across the UK currently have the opportunity to live and study abroad through the UK’s membership of the EU. That should not be stripped away from them. 
 
“Young people overwhelmingly voted to remain in the EU. It would be wrong to deprive them of this once in a lifetime opportunity. It benefits them and the whole country. 
 
“That is why the Liberal Democrats are backing Universities UK #SupportStudyAbroad campaign. The best way to end the uncertainty, however, is to give the people a People’s Vote, including the opportunity to remain in the EU.”
