Lewisham College celebrates vocational success

Students @LewishamCollege celebrated the end of their vocational studies today, on #VocationalResults day 

The College has a strong reputation for its vocational qualifications with students achieving an overall 91% pass rates in Health & Social Care, Sport, Business with students achieving 100% pass rates in Health & Social Care, Sports and Business courses.

The College’s Principal Asfa Sohail said: 

“I’d like to congratulate our students for their hard work, especially in these unprecedented times and the staff who supported them on their successes. We’re celebrating with them today and wish them the best of luck in their next steps and career ambitions.”

Michaela Shodeinde, Health & Social Care student achieved a Distinction grade. She wants to pursue a career as a Nurse and is off to study at London Southbank University. She said: “I’m very pleased with what I’ve achieved; this result is the key to the next chapter in my life.” 

Another Health & Social Care Maryam Yusuff has also achieved great results and is off to the University of West London to pursue a BSc in Psychology. 

Aiden Presley, a Business student achieved the highest grade with a triple Distinction*. Armed with these amazing grades, he is off to study Finance at Westminster University. He said:

 “I’ve enjoyed my time at Lewisham College. I built my confidence and skills and also made lifetime friendships. It was my dream to go to University, and I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved.”

Other top-performing students are Ikenna Agim and Luis Bedoya who also achieved triple Distinction* in their IT course. Ikenna is moving on to a Level 4 Apprenticeship within the IT industry, and Luis is off to City University to study Computer Science.
