Leicester College to host Future Faradays event
Leicester College (@LeicesterColl) is set to host Future Faradays, a flagship initiative run by the National Electrotechnical Training (NET) electrical industry charity on 17 November 2021.
Over 50 Leicester College T Level students will learn more about the electrical industry, opportunities for apprenticeships and employability. The day’s programme will include presentations by a host of speakers including a talk on the approved routes into the industry by Neil McManus, a Programme Area Manager at Leicester College.
The highlight of the event will be a skills showcase where the students will deliver their presentations based on a brief to design improved lighting, which will contribute to achieving a carbon neutral system. Judges will pick the winning team at the end of the day.

“The Future Faradays programme provides an opportunity for our students to engage with industry partners. This will enable them to network with local employers, ask questions and make a good impression to aid with future employment.
“I am proud to see the inventiveness, imagination and clarity in the presentations that our students have prepared in response to the brief, and the particularly high standard they have set in design interpretation. I look forward to seeing them deliver their presentations in the skills showcase and wish them all the very best.”
