Leading global edtech provider launches classroom solution designed with teachers, for teachers

@NetSupportGroup, an industry-leading producer of software solutions, has today (29 Mar) announced the launch of classroom.cloud, an enhanced international, cloud-based classroom management and teaching platform, which will help improve teacher workloads, wellbeing and student engagement.

The teaching platform, which enables teachers and learners to move seamlessly between in-class and remote schooling, has been developed in partnership with teachers and education professionals across the globe – ensuring it is designed to specifically fit the various needs of teachers and students.

Combined with its classroom management tools, such as screen monitoring and website and application controls, teachers can also manage student behaviour online and ensure they are safe and on task. Responding to the consultation with teachers, audio and screen sharing functions have now been included to the final release of classroom.cloud to ensure the platform caters to the needs of teachers and students.

Easily installed and deployed to student devices, classroom.cloud is designed to be completely intuitive for teachers and students to use, helping minimise disruption and ensuring teachers’ workloads are eased. Vitally, the classroom solution includes dedicated tools for feedback and assessment – helping ensure no student falls behind while also relieving the administrative burden of assessment on teachers. The platform also allows teachers to interact with students in real time via chat, messages and help requests, so communication is always fluid even when working remotely – enabling teachers to fully support students whatever their location.

Using a simple dashboard, teachers can select the class they wish to teach and are automatically connected to their students’ devices. Within minutes, teachers can run ‘live’ lessons that are engaging, interactive and keep students immersed and on target for success.

Ben Whitaker, head of IT services at Bury Grammar School, said:

“We chose classroom.cloud because we needed a platform which helped our teachers easily monitor pupils’ activities and progress – allowing us to keep them on track with their learning. It also works both inside and outside the classroom, which is really reassuring given the times.

“The transition to classroom.cloud has been seamless. It was quick to set-up, easy to use and the team has provided us with support the whole way through – they are always on hand and happy to provide demonstrations whenever we need them. Most importantly, it has been straightforward and clear to use for teachers, the feedback we have had from them has been that it is easily navigable and it just works really well. Choosing classroom.cloud was a no-brainer for us.”

Al Kingsley, CEO of NetSupport, said:

“This pandemic has shown us all the important role education technology can play, but even more importantly, we have seen how vital it is that this technology is designed in consultation with teaching professionals. This is why developing classroom.cloud in collaboration with teachers from across the world was a top priority for us.

“We have built the platform specifically to help teachers deliver quality learning experiences no matter where they, or their students are. Amidst a rapidly evolving education landscape, maintaining continuity and consistency is so important – for both learners and teachers. Having one platform that can seamlessly switch between in-class and remote learning provides that continuity and helps minimise disruption as much as possible.

“Having developed classroom.cloud with the help of teachers, I am confident it is the easiest online platform teachers will ever use, with tools that capture feedback, monitor and manage online behaviour and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.”

Easy to set up, configure, manage and use, classroom.cloud integrates directly with a school’s existing infrastructure, with the ability to easily manage teacher and student devices centrally. Students can also use a simple pin code to access custom classes and groups remotely, ensuring ease of access is supported.
