Join the Board of Borders College

@BordersCollege has one of the best records for learner success in Scotland and makes an essential contribution to the Borders Region and beyond.  We are seeking new members to join our Regional Board to help ensure that we continue that success.

We are looking for individuals who share our commitment to providing the best possible learning experience, and who can represent the interests of the Borders economy and communities.  If you have experience of health and social care, accounting, finance and audit or rural heritage and tourism we would particularly like to hear from you. However, we also welcome applications from those with experience of the key sectors across the Borders economy as well as the broader needs of the education, public, private and third sectors in the region, and individuals with knowledge of business operations and governance.

No prior board membership experience is required.  Training and mentoring is available and an induction programme is provided to new members.  In addition, the Board is especially keen to hear from a diverse range of people who are currently under-represented on Boards of Scottish public bodies.

These roles are not remunerated. Closing date for applications is 5.00 pm on Tuesday 29 September 2020.
