Haileybury partners with Egypt Learning Group to open its first international school in the Middle East and Africa
New school will offer the best of British education to families in Egypt
Haileybury, one of the world’s leading independent schools, is to open a partner school in Cairo in September 2021 in a joint venture with Egypt Learning Group. Named Haileybury Cairo, the international school is the first venture for the renowned British school in the Middle East or Africa. The state-of-the-art school will be for 1,800 students aged 3 to 17. It will have world-class academic and co-curricular facilities on a 42,000 square metre site (10 Feddans) within the prestigious Mountain View iCITY Compound 6 October.
Haileybury’s priority continues to be preparing students for their careers through the highest standard of academic studies, varied activities and strong pastoral care, all key components that make up the well-rounded ethos they are known for. The Cairo campus will welcome families from all nationalities offering the best in British education within the context of an international school community. The school campus will comprise of a main building, a purpose-built 300 person theatre, two large sport halls, indoor and outdoor semi-Olympic swimming pools, a full-size football pitch with a running track, five multi-purpose hard courts, gymnastics floors, gyms, and educational areas including libraries, laboratories and Digital Learning facilities. A separate gated building will be available for Lower School pupils.
