Gower College Swansea welcomes four new rugby scholars

@GowerCollege Swansea is pleased to welcome four new rugby scholars this year: 

Kian Hire (Gold Scholar) – studying Electrical Installation, previously Pontarddulais Comprehensive School 
Finley Evans (Gold Scholar) – studying Sport, previously Pontarddulais Comprehensive School 
Ben Hibberd (Bronze Scholar) – studying Sport, previously Pontarddulais Comprehensive School 
Alex Jones (Gold Scholar) – studying Sport, previously Ysgol Gyfun Gŵyr 

All are Ospreys Academy members and were pursued by colleges in England but chose to register with Gower College Swansea due to the fantastic programme and scholarship scheme. 

“We are really pleased to welcome boys of such a high playing calibre and so far, so good!” says Head of Rugby at the College, Daniel Cluroe. 

“Winning the Morgannwg group of the Elite Colleges League, with two wins over Neath and Bridgend, has led to us moving on to the Cup competition with the winners of the other pools. We look forward to the live TV game on Wednesday 20 October against Coleg y Cymoedd in Sardis Road.”
