Progress to Excellence earn Gold award accolade for passion and commitment to education and training
PASSION and commitment to provide learners and employers with the vital skills for a future workforce has earned Progress to Excellence Ltd a major business award.
The company, a national apprenticeship and commercial training provider with headquarters at Birkenhead’s Pacific Road, was named Education/Training Provider of the Year at the Wirral Life Awards 2019, picking up the award category’s special gold accolade.
The annual awards, held at Wirral’s Thornton Manor, celebrate the achievements of inspirational businesses and individuals who influence and help shape the lives and lifestyles of people in the Wirral, Liverpool and Chester regions.
Accepting the trophy, Katy Lennon (pictured), Acting Chief Executive Officer at Progress to Excellence Ltd, said:
“Winning this award means so much to all our staff who work with total commitment to teach, nurture and support our learners so they can reach their full potential and become part of a highly-skilled workforce, ready to meet employers’ economic challenges today and in the future.
“Our passion is a belief in the positive impact of training to achieve new skills and gain accredited qualifications, to help people do their very best in their studies and to get them work-ready.
“However, we also have a strong culture that extends beyond education and training – one that’s based on ‘giving back’ to the community where we’re based and where, by supporting a wide range of charitable organisations, our employees are helping to make a difference to the lives of local people.
“This award is for every member of the team here, all of whom go that extra mile to guide and support learners and employers throughout the country.”
Jayne Worthington, Deputy Chief Executive of Progress to Excellence Group, parent company of Progress to Excellence Ltd, said:
“Achieving this award is testament to the passion our staff have for setting learners on a successful training journey so they can become part of a highly-skilled and resourceful workforce of the future.
“It’s also great recognition for our business ethos of putting people first – learners and employers – in the pursuit of careers that make the most of talents to build that all-important bridge to reduce skills gaps.”
The annual Wirral Life Awards celebrate and champion those who make the region such a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
Wirral Life magazine editor Si Hall added:
“The event brings together the people and businesses to support and champion our wonderful borough. It also recognises their great achievements – congratulations to all our winners.”
