Futures celebrate win at CDI’s UK Career Awards

Futures Advice, Skills and Employment are celebrating as one of their team has taken home an award at the Career Development Institute’s UK Career Awards earlier this month.

Darren Scott, Lincolnshire Team Manager won the ‘Careers Service Manager of the Year’ category at this year’s awards ceremony, which took place at Leeds’ Hilton Hotel on March 7th.

Darren’s team includes 11 careers advisers who work across the Lincolnshire area and he has been commended for the support and encouragement he provides to his team, empowering them to drive themselves forward in their own progression.

With his team being located across the county, Darren works with them remotely. He has been praised for the range of solutions he’s developed to ensure they can still work as a tight knit, high performing team despite not physically working together on a daily basis. Darren and his team work on the Ofsted rated Outstanding East Midlands National Careers Service contract.

He’s put in place several new initiatives, which have improved their offering to partners in the area and has really driven forward the National Careers Service partnerships with local councils. His hard work and commitment has helped to ensure local people have access to our careers advice and training opportunities, and are fully supported throughout their journey. Darren is delighted to have won this national award.
