Graduate careers platform Handshake launches in UK & partners with Cambridge, York and Liverpool universities — increases vacancies by 300% + diversifies recruitment
Today (22 Jul) @joinHandshake – the career management platform that’s diversifying recruitment for graduates and employers – announces its launch into the UK and partnerships with the @Cambridge_Uni, @UniOfYork and @LivUni
The launch follows Handshake’s success in the US where students from over 900 US colleges and universities are using the platform
Any student with a university email address can sign up now, already, over 10,000 British students have created profiles
The platform increases the number of vacancies a university has by 300% on average, as a result, students have the support they need to find a great job regardless of which institution they attend, what they choose to study, and who they know.
In turn, companies no longer lose out on talent they might otherwise miss – from SMEs to corporate firms such as PwC.
Why is this important?
The launch comes at a crucial time when more than a quarter (27%) of businesses are reducing the number of graduates they recruit in 2020, employers can find more diverse and qualified candidates through data-driven recruiting.
