Fingers crossed as Fareham College challenges the best in the country for top award
Tomorrow (22 Feb) Fareham College will find out if it will win ‘Further Education College of the Year’ as the best colleges across the country gather in London to battle it out for the Times Educational Supplement (TES Global) awards.
Fareham College has been a beacon of educational and training excellence on the South Coast. The college’s status as one of the best in the country has been confirmed by its ‘oustanding’ Ofsted Rating, visits from top Civil Servants in Whitehall and even a ‘well done’ and ‘Merry Christmas’ from the Prime Minister, Theresa May.
Fareham College is one of only eight colleges across the United Kingdom that has been nominated for the TES FE College of the Year award.

The College currently teaches over 1,500 full-time learners, 1,000 part-time or adult learners and a further 1,000 apprentices.
Student employment prospects at Fareham College are exemplary, with 98% of students and apprentices, of all ages, progressing to positive destinations that include employment, apprenticeships or further study.
