Fantastic success for students collecting GCSE results at South Staffordshire College
@SouthStaffs College is delighted to announce #GCSEResults success again this year with lots of students at South Staffordshire College celebrating top grades
With the cancellation of exams to help minimise the spread of Coronavirus, students’ results have this year been calculated by their tutors, these are called Centre Assessed Grades.
GCSE grades have been determined based upon a range of evidence available to tutors, which will include coursework and mock exam results to provide a fair and objective result.
South Staffordshire College is proud to announce that the total number of high grades achieved across both English and maths has increased compared to results day 2019. Top grades in English have increased by 11% and increased by 8% in maths.
We’re hugely proud of all students and would like to extend a big congratulations to all collecting their GCSE results today.
Speaking on behalf of the College, Kirk Hookham, Deputy Chief Executive said:
“Employers and universities take English and mathematics very seriously and it is a top priority at South Staffordshire College. English and mathematics form a mandatory part of our study programmes and we’re committed to helping our students progress their abilities in these subjects during their time with us. We are thrilled that so many students who have studied their GCSEs with us this year have achieved such positive results. I am proud of the support our students have been given to achieve their best possible outcome from our staff community. We wish our students every success as they continue their journey.”
