East Kent Students Embrace Online Learning to Set New Record
Data from leading online learning technology provider, CENTURY, has revealed that students from across EKC Group answered a staggering 516,000 English and mathematics questions between September 2019 and August 2020.
An impressive 104,737 of those questions were answered during March as the UK went into lockdown, placing the Group fourth nationally amongst Further Education providers.
Speaking at the time, Head of Mathematics at the Group’s Ashford College, Shabana Raman, commented:
“Participation in the initiative is increasing as students adapt to this new way of learning. It’s fantastic to see so many of our students engaged in the Competition and benefiting from the new skills and confidence they have gained through taking part.”
Since then, the Group has seen steady increases in participation from students across its family of Colleges and Business Units, resulting in the largest number of questions answered in an academic year.
The Group hopes to see students continue to thrive from using the online learning facility as teaching resumes.
