CT Skills celebrates the success of their annual apprenticeship awards ceremony.
East Midlands training provider, CT Skills hosted their annual ‘Made in the Midlands’ apprenticeship awards ceremony at their Head Office in Beeston on Friday 8th March 2019.
In celebration of National Apprentice Week, the awards received over 60 nominations from local employers including J Tomlinson, NFT Distribution, Trent Barton Buses and Distinct Recruitment with managers all keen to nominate their apprentices through an extremely competitive process.
An expert panel of judges narrowed down the best entries to 4 finalists and 5 overall winners, with each winner being selected for an award category under the CT Skills core values; Pride, Respect, Accountability, Integrity and Service Excellence.
Service Excellence award winner, Louis Cartledge who is undertaking a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with Mansfield based Premier Security 247 said;
“I was honoured to be presented with an award, this was an initial shock, as there were some great examples of apprentices that have excelled within their roles, and developed into professionals in their trade. The awards are a fantastic way for apprentices to gain recognition for their hard work, development and progression and I was pleased to see that more people are taking the apprenticeship route as appose to university”
Alex Ford, Chief Executive Officer of CT Skills commented; “I was extremely delighted to present the awards to such hardworking and dedicated apprentices from across the Midlands. The award winners and finalists are very passionate about their apprenticeships and it is great to see what an impact they are making to companies across the region.”
The awards also coincided with The CT Skills Road Show which saw local employers, recruitment experts and apprenticeship ambassadors come together an apprenticeship tour across Derby, Nottingham & Leicester on a Trent Barton bus. Throughout the week, CT Skills collected donations from employers including HL Plastics, Charnwood Borough Council, Node4 & Trent Barton Buses which were used on the final day of the road show which concluded with a community day where CT Skills stopped off at three local charities; The Bridge, Framework: Young Mother & Baby and Framework: Opportunities & Change.
