Collab Group negotiates £200,000 saving for JISC subscription charges
The Collab Group of colleges is pleased to have negotiated an exclusive two-year deal with JISC to save £200,000 on proposed subscription charges for their services.
The move comes after the Department for Educations made the decision to introduce a subscription charge to colleges to access JISC services from August 2019. The deal represents a considerable saving for Collab Group members.
Collab Group colleges, many of whom have complex IT support needs, welcome this announcement.
The saving will make a difference to the colleges bottom line and allow them to better focus resources towards their social mission to deliver high-quality education and training to learners across the UK.
We are pleased to have been able to reach an agreement with JISC and look forward to work together to continue to ensure that their services represent value for money for our member colleges.
Ian Pretty Collab Group CEO says:
“We are delighted that we have been able to negotiate a deal with JISC to obtain a price freeze on their subscription charges. This represents a substantial collective saving for our colleges who all have complex IT support needs.
“Considering these services were previously freely available to colleges, it is vital that provisions are put in place to ensure that they receive a fair deal and we believe that this discount represents more equitable settlement for our member colleges.”
