C-Learning Announce Award Winning Education Technologist Is to Join The Virtual Staffroom To Discuss Bias in Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (#AI) is already here – what are the implications?
As we look at AI and how we interact with it in our daily lives, this virtual staffroom session will consider some of the unintended consequences of this aspect of technology and how we interact with and manage it. Award winning Technologist, Cat, whose career has span over 25 years in Computing and Technology will speak at a special edition the C-Learning Virtual Staffroom on Tuesday 19th October at 12pm.
As an early adopter and tester of technologies, Cat is passionate about using the power of technology to enhance educational and personal experiences. She utilises technology as a medium to communicate complex theories and translate these into beautiful storytelling pieces of creative artefacts.
For Cat, diversity and Inclusion plays an instrumental role in her day-to-day life. She is committed to advancing representation and success of underrepresented groups both in STEM subjects, regularly invited to events to talks on digital inclusion and transforming organisational cultures through inclusivity. She is also the founder of Eco Street Smart, an engineering solutions provider. She can be found on Twitter @cathallam1 and Instagram on cat.hallam.
Jamie Smith, Executive Chairman of C-Learning said
“We are absolutely thrilled that Cat is joining us to share insights and experiences in this rapidly changing and emergent aspect of technology. AI will play an ever greater role in our lives and with it there will be new challenges along with the opportunities.
“The more we consider what some of the unintended consequences might be, the better able we will be to harness the power of AI in ways that helps to create a smarter planet and we believe this to be one of the most exciting areas in technology today. We are looking forward to what will be a brilliant conversation.”
Spaces for this special edition Virtual Staffroom require registration to join.
