Babington to provide Digital Skills Bootcamps for Employers and Learners
@_Babington is today (15 Jul) excited to be confirmed as one of the independent training providers delivering the next wave of the Government’s Skills Bootcamps.
A vital part of the government’s Levelling Up agenda, as well as the Prime Minister’s Lifelong Skills Guarantee, the Digital Skills Bootcamps offer free short courses to help people aged 19 and over to both gain employment in the digital sector and provide invaluable upskilling opportunities for those already in jobs.
The free, flexible courses run for 12 weeks, with the scheme bolstered by an investment of £43 million from the National Skills Fund.
Babington will be delivering the Digital Leadership and Data Analytics programmes remotely across England.
The courses will include invaluable practical experience and help to equip adult learners with the skills needed to work in an increasingly important digital world.
The Skills Bootcamps add to Babington’s wide range of CPD courses, apprenticeships and additional training for individuals and businesses across the country.
David Marsh, CEO for Babington, said:
“The bootcamps represent a tremendous opportunity for learners keen to enhance their digital skills, whilst employers have an opportunity to enhance the capability of their teams. We are already discussing provision with some major employers and are able to bespoke the content of the bootcamps to fit their specific operational and cultural needs.
“As businesses and the economy as a whole starts to recover post-Covid, schemes like this will be incredibly important in driving productivity and tackling skills shortages across the country. Whether you call it Levelling Up or Building Back Better, the overall effect is providing opportunity and skills for a wide range of people.”
