Atom Learning launches adaptive learning platform into state sector
Atom Learning’s online learning platform for schools, Atom Prime, is entering the UK state school market. The key stage 2, adaptive learning platform is starting its partnership with all 23 primaries of the David Ross Education Trust (DRET).
The award-winning platform that launched four months ago is already used by over 20% of UK prep schools. The platform combines high-quality content, designed and produced by teachers, with sophisticated technology to keep students on their individual, optimal learning paths.
Atom Prime reduces teacher workload, supports teachers in managing mixed ability classes, ensures non-subject experts can run productive lessons and improves dialogue between parents and teachers. Atom Prime integrates with Atom Nucleus, part of the Atom Learning suite of learning products, an affordable alternative to a private tutor to which parents can optionally subscribe.
Atom Prime has been incorporated into the work schedules of all 23 primaries for KS2 English, maths and reasoning skills. Atom Learning was launched by Jake O’Keeffe and Alex Hatvany who became frustrated by the inequality in education provision in the UK and globally. They see huge potential for technology to reduce the gap in attainment between the most and least privileged.
Jake O’Keeffe comments: “We are thrilled to be working with DRET: the partnership marks an important moment for us as we enter MATs and primaries, where our technology and high quality learning resources have the potential to significantly reduce teacher work load and improve student attainment. After establishing a foothold in more than 20% of prep schools, our goal is to empower teachers across the state sector and tackle education inequality in the UK.”
