Apprenticeship opportunities at St Ives based Telecommunications Company
Cambridge Regional College (@CRC_College) has partnered with Magdalene in a new venture to deliver Business Administration and Customer Service apprenticeship opportunities at the St. Ives based telecommunications company. As Magdalene embark on the apprenticeship scheme, an Employer Showcase event was held at the Head Office to introduce the apprenticeship opportunities and highlight the benefits of joining the company.
Melissa Lloyd, Head of the Network Operations Centre, said,
“Joining Magdalene will provide endless opportunities. The company is experiencing rapid growth, and we are keen to develop our own talent in-house to meet the needs of the company.”
Magdalene, a part of M Group Services, has seen more than 100% increase in employees over the last 12 months and this growth looks set to continue over the coming years. Working with CRC, Magdalene is exploring the Industry Placement offer for full-time students, to support learners in gaining practical and technical skills within the organisation with a view to this leading into an apprenticeship. Magdalene is also keen to expand their apprenticeship opportunities across the business, meaning that there may be additional opportunities in areas such as engineering as the apprenticeship scheme grows.
Kerry Attfield, Employment Engagement Manager at CRC, added,
“The partnership with Magdalene is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to start their career in an established company within the telecommunications industry. The Employer Showcase event has enabled us to introduce prospective apprentices to the employer in an informal setting, allowing them to meet the team, take a tour of the offices, and learn more about the business with which they might be undertaking their apprenticeship.”
