Tameside Apprentices celebrate start of #NAW2019 with awards evening
Apprentices celebrated their successes at the annual Tameside College Apprenticeship Awards on Wednesday 27th June.
28 apprentices and their employers gathered at Clarendon Sixth Form College’s Brooke Vincent theatre to receive awards for their achievements.
Jackie Moores, principal at Tameside College, congratulated the apprentices: “The college is proud of all our apprentices and well done to every single one of the award winners. Tonight’s event is to celebrate all the great things about them and their achievements. This unique and tireless collaboration between the college and employers, ensures that apprentices meet their targets, develop and progress.”
Councillor Leanne Feeley and Jackie Moores presented an award and certificate to each of the apprentices who were nominated for their outstanding performance and achievement during their employment.
Councillor Leanne Feeley, said: “I believe it is important to recognise apprentices and those supporting them to achieve. For Tameside’s economy to grow we must have skilled workers in the borough and Tameside Council believes apprenticeships provide an excellent pathway to employment and training. The winning apprentices should all be extremely proud of their achievements.”
National apprenticeship week 2019 takes place from Monday 4th March to Friday 8th March
