AAT launches three new qualifications to help students start a career in finance
AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) today announces the launch of three new qualifications that are designed for people aiming to take their first steps into the workplace and into a career in finance.
The three new qualifications are all at entry-level (Level 1) and are designed to take approximately 6-12 weeks to complete. They are:
- Access Award in Business Skills – designed for people who are about to start on the career ladder, this qualification provides a broad understanding of the business environment and preparing for the world of work.
- Access Award in Bookkeeping – provides a solid grounding in single-entry bookkeeping, designed for students with no previous bookkeeping knowledge or experience.
- Access Award in Accounting Software – a starting qualification for people carrying out basic finance and administrative duties using accounting software packages.
These new access qualifications have been designed as an excellent starting point for people wishing to gain the skills they need to start an exciting career in the finance industry.
“Our qualifications at this level have always proved popular, with students learning a great deal of skills and knowledge from the courses as they prepare to enter the world of work, often for the first time. While these new qualifications are individually available, they can also be useful studied together, for those hoping to continue to AAT’s accounting qualifications at higher levels.”
Suzie Webb, Director of Education and Development, AAT
Individuals wishing to enroll on any of the three new qualifications can find out more details, along with a search facility to find their nearest training provider offering the course, via the AAT website.
