A career in childcare is on the cards for Isabell
From a young age, Isabell Beasley knew that she wanted to work with children. After completing her GCSEs, Isabell enrolled with Cambridge Regional College (@CRC_College) on the Level 2 Health and Social Care course with the aim of progressing to Level 3 Childcare upon gaining her qualification. In September 2021, Isabell returned to CRC on the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Technical Certificate/Diploma in Childcare and Education, a two-year course that prepares learners to become Early Years Educators.
Isabell said,
“I want to achieve the best possible outcomes on this course. I am committed to dedicating my time to my studies, and I am looking forward to completing my work placement hours over the next two years.”
The additional learning needs that Isabell has means that she must remain focussed and on-task to meet the demands of her course. With support from her Tutors and Learning Support Mentor, Isabell feels confident in seeking the help that she needs.
Commenting on the learning support at CRC, Isabell added,
“I feel encouraged to achieve to the best of my ability. My Tutors and LSM explain things in a way that helps me to understand what is required of me. I am aware that being organised and managing my time are important factors to my success. I receive a lot of encouragement and the positive relationship I have with the staff is a particular highlight of studying at CRC.”
Looking ahead, Isabell would like to become a Room Leader in a nursery but for now she is focussed on enjoying her studies and gaining her qualifications. Her advice to anyone considering further education at Cambridge Regional College is to go for it.
Isabell concludes,
“Coming to CRC is a great way to get the best qualifications to help you step onto the career ladder. I would definitely recommend the Level 3 Childcare because it is enjoyable, and the tutors are helpful and open to supporting those with learning needs.”
