30% rise in student applications for ‘Your Future’ sports programme
VODAFONE CONNECTS SPORTS COACHING COMPANY LLS IN RECORD YEAR OF SIGNUPS.
Vodafone UK today (26 Nov) announced that its One Net Business service helped sports coaching company, LLS, to achieve a record year of student sign-ups, including a 30% rise in applications on GCSE results day.
Vodafone’s One Net Business is a converged service that joins up landline and mobile communications through a secure cloud-based system. This helps to ensure LLS doesn’t miss any calls. This included 23rd August 2018 when it received as many applications in one day as in the entire previous academic year.
Vodafone’s converged services provide a range of features for businesses of all sizes – from telephony through to instant messaging and video conferencing and desktop sharing. The managed services are delivered via the cloud, ensuring they are more flexible, resilient and cost-effective than traditional systems.
Based in Liverpool, LLS works in partnership with secondary schools and colleges to offer sports training courses to 16-18 year olds. LLS trains around 300 students every year as part of their ‘Your Future’ programme, which operates across the UK and internationally. This includes facilitating work experience tours to Madrid where students teach in local primary schools and offering international-based football teams the opportunity to play in local UK-based fixtures.
Jordan Wright, Co-founder of LLS, said:
“Over the last ten years, our organisation has grown exponentially. We’re incredibly proud to be enabling more young people than ever before to achieve their dreams and gain valuable experience in the sports industry. We are always on the move and travel a lot – both in the UK and abroad. Working with Vodafone has meant we never miss a call and can give our students the support they need, whether they’re gaining teaching experience at Liverpool Hope University or shooting for a football scholarship in the United States”.
Anne Sheehan, Enterprise Director, Vodafone UK said:
“We are thrilled to provide LLS with the flexibility, connectivity and outstanding customer care they need to deliver a brilliant experience to their students and employees. This is a great example of how mobile technology and keeping people connected really matters. We will be working together to identify other areas where we can use the power of technology to help LLS.”
