“GB MET and colleges like them are hugely valuable community assets which drive social mobility and give students the opportunity to make the most of their talents and fulfill their ambitions.

“The work GB MET does to prepare students for the life after their studies is invaluable too, including apprenticeships and industry placements, working with local businesses to give students the opportunities to put their learning into practice. These courses develop technical skills and enable students to leave their studies with some real-world working experience and, crucially, to make connections with local people already working in their field.

These new facilities will widen that offer for people of all ages to continue to pursue education at different stages in their lives.”
