DBC Training are delighted to announce our sponsorship of Paralympic javelin thrower and multiple gold medalist, Hollie Arnold.

Hollie is a hugely successful Paralympian and is one of Britain’s most decorated athletes. She was the youngest ever field athlete to ever compete in the Paralympics/Olympics, at the age of 14 at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing throwing a personal best. She also threw a personal best in 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. Hollie then took the gold medal in the F46 javelin in the 2016 Summer Paralympics at Rio, also throwing a new world record at the same time. In 2018, she became the first ever Javelin thrower in history to hold all four major titles in the same Paralympic/Olympic 4-year cycle. In 2021, at the delayed 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, she took the bronze medal.

Hollie, who has also featured in hit show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, will be acting as a judge and presenter at DBC’s Annual Apprentice Awards on 11 February, held as part of National Apprenticeship Week.

Hollie said: “I am thrilled to be working with DBC Training and am excited about supporting this particular initiative which focuses on the ambitions and achievements of highly motivated young people. I am sure the awards themselves will be very competitive and I am looking forward to being a judge on this occasion and of course picking the winner’!

Kerry Bentley, Managing Director at DBC Training, added:

“We are delighted to be sponsoring Hollie in what is a very exciting athletics year ahead. Hollie is a great ambassador and inspiration for our young apprentices and is someone who embodies our SPARK values including achieving excellence, being results focused and kicking down barriers.”
